food blog: banapple

what we ordered: lasagna rolls, banoffee pie, yo-ho cheesecake, tiramisu and (not photographed) strawberry cheesecake

pardon my attempt at food blogging, the cakes (and the food!) at banapple are just sumptuous that it's plain selfish not to share.

our impromptu date landed us at the porch of banapple in katipunan. how we ended there was because of plain whim and sheer excitement of eating something out-of-the-box (sans brooding over the calorie count). i actually forgot half of what we ordered, which is sad since the chicken-tomato sauce-smelling dish ate karla ordered is divine (i think it's parmigiano). i had a plate of baked lasagna rolls but i only managed to finish half of the dish. if i had it my way, i'd probably eat it again at any given day.

i think it's a shame to visit banapple without trying out their desserts and cakes; we sampled four cake slices - banoffee pie, yo-ho cake, tiramisu and strawberry cheesecake. i liked eating the banoffee pie since it does not leave you feeling bloated, but the yo-ho pie is just too good that it's a must try. nothing too special about the tiramisu and strawberry cheesecake though.

birthday month of 3/4 of the family is approaching so i'll definitely persuade my sisters and mom for a lunch date at banapple a few weeks from now. i'll ask them to order what i previously had then order something new for myself hehe. :)
