2011 in less than an hour
slide friday on my favorite radio station is the best house music to welcome the new year; nothing like the good 'ol 90s music to set the tone for the coming year ahead. i just wish it will rain a bit so that the inconsiderate neighbors would stop lighting those damn, banned firecrackers. and oh, i pray that we have a better year ahead :]. 2011, please be great, thanks.

this is my Christmas look

this is how i look now. i know people do not give a damn about it, but i wanna share my jbb-esque hair just in case my friends stumble upon this post. i had a haircut 2 weeks ago inspired by katie holmes's pixie do, though the stylist did not cut it too short which resulted to my wavy pixie-bob look. my hair has grown an inch, i think, which is why it now reminds me of the hair jbb used to sport. i don't see him now so i don't know whether he has grown his wavy hair back or not.
aside from the hair, i posted this picture because i think i look like a guy here which is a little bugging. my sisters find it funny though.

first dessert
i have not been a good kitchen assistant, let alone a cook, for as long as my family can remember. they have labelled me clumsy and impatient when it comes to cooking, yet lo and behold, i have finally made decent dessert without spilling or burning anything in the process. i am now psyched at the thought of experimenting various chocolate treats as gift this holiday season. although on the downside, i wont be attending too many parties which means that my new found keeness with cooking/baking would be put to a halt. i wont be seeing my friends until after the new year which is a total bummer to say the least. i just hope that i wont be bitter enough and spoil my enthusiasm in making these "holiday treats" of mine after the holidays

90s cartoons are awezzum
i found out from my sister that there is a “drive” in facebook to promote awareness against child abuse. the idea is for facebook users to change their profile pictures for seven days to cartoon characters they have grown to love since their childhood. since i do not own a facebook account, i have no clue of the rationale behind the idea, but i have to admit that it's pretty interesting and amusing at the same time. i know that facebook is a lot more fun compared to blogs since you could connect with your friends swiftly, but that doesn't mean that what is in facebook should be kept there. i thought of doing the same thing in my blogs since i have been inactive lately and blogs are fun too (even if my friends seldom read it). i was thinking over which character i would like, then i narrowed my choice to daria since i think she is more me compared to, let say, buttercup or chacha. i have grown to love cartoons, never failing to watch them every single morning during summer vacation when i was still young. they still amuse me to this day that i find myself switching the channel to disney to catch a phineas and ferb episode (candace is fun) or watch re-runs of spongebob squarepants on nick. cartoons have a whole new meaning in themselves, and it's not just because it's make believe, but because people are somehow drawn to them no matter how silly or sloppy they appear. and i think life is a bit more colorful with cartoons, don't you think?

chacha, lia and shine (tama ba spelling?)
