i'll probably have to consider the content and how the movie moved me through good directing, the casts performance, and the brilliant way of writing that completely embodied the true sentiments of the character, regardless of how old the time and setting is.
that is how i felt after watching pride and prejudice.
it's a completely good movie that while i was watching it i was telling myself that i could watch this film every week and not feel the slightest change of interest for it. i really adore elizebeth bennet for she is a woman of character. she knows herself very well and has no problem in relating her opinions about others, regardless of their position in society. i admire fitzwilliam darcy not only for his good looks, but also for his well regard to the people close to him. admittedly he appears to be pompous and arrogant, but amidst all those impressions he proves to be a very caring brother and a great man indeed. he did everything in his power to help the people elizabeth loves.
this is love indeed. pride and prejudice has captured my heart and has captivated me with wit, substance and an excellent way of portraying life through good written words. jane austen's most beloved novel has far greater excellence than only written words. it has the power of containing emotions and depicting life in it's truest form.
i love pride and prejudice.
